The superior quality Hand Forged ranges are crafted by hand in our UK workshop and has been designed in line with Rustic styling methods that would suit older traditional interiors and Barn Conversions.
The stylish Hammered plate finish with Hammered detail gives the Hammered Copper and Hammered English Pewter ranges a unique look ideal for old style interiors. These Hand Forged plates are made from a 2mm thick Sheet Copper or Pewter Tin. It is then cut and hand forged on the face using a hand held cross-peen hammer which gives this range a unique beaten look.
We also offer both the Copper and Pewter in its Natural State ‐ these two plates are simply cut and lightly indented on the face which leaves a plainer and more flat finish.
We then lightly polish them to reveal the beauty of the raw and natural metal finish that these materials possess.
Every plate will look different and enrich and slightly change as it ages on your wall. Over time each plate develops its own unique patina. Buying these plates is similar to buying natural stone flooring ‐ every one is unique and slightly different from the other.
The Waxed Copper range is actually made using a Steel Plate which has then been burnished by hand then waxed to give it the waxed copper effect. This plate naturally ages and the appearance of the plate changes over time.
