What is a Intermediate Toggle Switch and Toggle Switch Combination?
Toggle or Dolly Switches operate in the same way as a standard light switch. The difference is that the modern rocker is replaced by a more traditional toggle style switch. Many people prefer these as they are more representative of a period style switch or that they look more industrial or minimalist in contemporary environments.
Light Switches are generally available to switch 1 way and/or 2 way circuits. All of our Light Switches are 2 way versions and the beauty of this is that they can be used on both 1 way and 2 way circuits thus eliminating the need to buy both types. A 2 way circuit refers to a lighting point that can be switched from 2 different places i.e. Hall and Landing, where you might have a switch at the bottom of the stairs and a further switch at the top of the stairs that both control the same lighting point.
If you should have more than 2 switching positions you will require one of the switches to be an intermediate switch.
Intermediate Switches (also known as 3 way Switches) are typically used on a circuit that requires you to switch a lighting point from more than 2 positions ie On the Stairs and landings in a 3 story house where you would have a switch on the ground floor then also switches on the 2 upper floors that all control the same lighting point.
You would then require 2 x 2 way switches and 1 x intermediate switch to control this circuit.
Intermediate switches are generally only available as a single switch (One Gang) however we also sell multiple combinations of Intermediates and 2 way switches available from a double combination (Two Gang) or a 3 Way combination (Three Gang). The word “gang” refers to the rocker switch – for example if you require a triple light switch it would be 3 Gang.
Our light switches have a load rating of either 10amp or 20amp and the terminals will accept up to 3 x 1.5mm Twin & Earth Cables.
We recommend 16mm deep wall boxes for mounting our switches or 25mm deep wall boxes for shallow or flat plate Switches.

Never heard of painting sockets before the interior design magazine featured them so I came straight on here to buy them and they are such a good idea. I used the handy help guide on your website to help me through it but iot was pretty simple. I used a roller and it took me exactly 5 minutes to do 10 sockets - simple.

The plates come off so they are easy to paint - I had no trouble with these and they look fantastic once they dry out. Ready primed I just used ordinary emulsion. Higly recommend.

These primed switches are of the highest quality and are almost invisible after I painted them over. These are a great idea and Im so glad I spent the extra money on them.
