Factors to consider when choosing bathroom lighting

01/10/2011
When choosing the correct type of lighting for your bathroom, there are several factors to consider.

You need suitable illumination around mirrors and in areas where visibility is important but you may also want to create some mood lighting for that long soak in the bath at the end of a hard day.

Wall sconces can be installed around mirrors, providing shadow-free light effects for grooming and shaving.

Ceiling light fixtures provide overall light and recessed down lights or track lighting is useful for illuminating specific areas.

If you want to create a calming ambience and mood lighting in your bathroom, install a dimmer switch (outside your bathroom). You can then adjust your bathroom lighting accordingly.
