LSG announce new LED solutions available worldwide

Released 13 August 2008

The Lighting Science Group today announced that its range of LED solutions for retail display is now globally available.

The range will be made available through Lighting Science's distributors and LSG claims that the products are suitable for retail shelving, display cases and exhibits, fitting into new installations or existing ones.

It is hoped that the new range will combine environmentally friendly, energy efficient solutions that both contribute to the customers' experience and lower costs for the retailers.

"Lighting Science retail display systems truly capture the detail, colour and sparkle of shelf merchandise while reducing retailers' carbon footprint," said Zach Gibler, chief business development officer of LSG.

LED lights offer some benefits in terms of energy efficiency, life span and environmental impact when compared to traditional fluorescent and halogen lights.

They can consume up to 80 per cent less energy than halogen lights and up to 50 per cent less than fluorescent bulbs, the company claims.

Based in Dallas, the Lighting Science Group are responsible for lighting schemes such as the ten-storey video wall on the Chanel building in Tokyo's Ginza district, the Saks 5th Avenue Snowflake Display and the Times Square New Year's Eve ball.
