The Goliath Cast Aluminium Range
Goliath is the largest member of our Retro Industrial ranges. The Goliath Light Switches and Sockets have been designed in line with traditional “throwback” styling methods and are surface mounted. They include brass 20mm Blanking Plugs that can be removed to accept conduit entry or they can be left in place if you are wiring from the back.
These collections are all individually hand made here in the UK from recycled metals and are available in Aluminium, Solid Brass and Solid Copper. They feature Antiqued toggle switches mounted into a solid cast plate. This plate is mounted onto a solid cast surface box using 4 Allan Key fixing to the corners. The face plate is cast with “On and “Off” decal to finish off that retro look.
The Goliath Switched Sockets use the same style solid cast surface box and are complimented by a Steel Switched Socket.
The recycled metals come from old car wheels to Copper Water Boiler Tanks and make these collections true works of art in their own right.
These Retro Industrial ranges have already proved to be a big hit with interior designers and architects looking for that special something to give their project that “Wow Factor”.
We offer the Copper, Brass and Aluminium in its Natural State – we then lightly polish them to reveal the beauty of the raw and natural metal finish that these materials possess.
The result of this is that every plate will look different. Buying these plates is similar to buying natural stone flooring – everyone is unique and slightly different from the other.
The weighty Brass and Copper ranges are solid metals and as such are heavy beasts and require a good quality fixing surface. The Aluminium ranges are much lighter in comparison and can easily be fitted to stud walls etc
We have supplied our Goliath and Titan switches to a “Steam Punk” inspired restaurant and our Hercules range was recently used by a TV Production Company on a set based on the Engine & Boiler Room of Captain Nemo’s ship Nautilus.
These are not off the shelf items and are made to order. Depending on the material this can be anything from 2 weeks to a month.
